Thank you to everyone who has helped us this summer: from advice, to letting us use your space, to monetary support. We appreciate all collaborators who have given their time, energy, and expertise to FSA this summer.
Special thank you to the HMC Designing Futures Foundation, the LA Forum, WUHO and Woodbury University. Thank you also to Bestor Architecture, HMC Architects, and STUDIO-MLA for letting us hold workshops in your spaces.
We would also like to thank all of the individuals who have supported us financially: Kirsten Cohen, Alexander Daxböck, Sarah Ebner, Patricia Gonzalez, Sihyun Jeong, Eira Mooney, Clara Mooso, Gonzalo Oyarce, Phuc Quach, Alex and Marina Finkelman, Jeni Grinceri, Zach Rose, Jonathan Sharp, and all the anonymous donors out there.
All donations go directly into operational expenses that are essential to make the program this summer happen. One of our main goals is transparency, so if you have any questions feel free to get in touch!

How can I support FSA?
First, thank you for wanting to help! The Free School of Architecture is currently a small organization running on a lot of love and volunteer work. We appreciate any help you may have to offer - all outside support goes a long way. We are so happy that you are into what we are doing and hope that if you look through the options below, you can find something that fits your interests and means.
Your support will go directly to the program and will keep FSA experimental, horizontal, tuition-free, sustainable, and inclusive. Thank you.
Education is becoming less accessible each year tuition costs rise. Opportunities for growth, honest discussion, and experimentation are rare outside of academia. FSA is filling this gap.
Our summer program brings together people from all over the world in order to promote an open-ended dialogue through workshops, lectures, projects, exhibitions and publication. Focused on peer-to-peer learning and collective, radical pedagogy, the aim of the Free School of Architecture is to support a space for free thought and critical discourse that hovers between practice and academia.
2017 participants have continued to build on their experience at FSA by launching cultural projects together, founding practices, and taking over the running of FSA itself. We look forward to seeing this network grow this year and beyond.
Join us and be a part of it. If our values resonate with you, please know that you are helping us stay true to these same values.
We are always on the lookout for new friends and partners who share our values and want to collaborate. We are particularly interested in opportunities to organize joint public events, collaborative projects, or access to a backyard you might be open to sharing for more casual discussions around Los Angeles. Get in touch if you have a project idea, available space, or anything else you’d like to team up on!
