The call for the school struck a deep cord within me, the details of what to expect and why it is important were uncertain, but it was clear that I had to go. Parts of my educational experience and the career I was starting, often seemed to guide down an archaic path of what the role of an architect is. FSA responded to that and became a community of very different, yet connected and open people that engaged in long conversations and workshops discussing architectural topics both on a global and personal level. We were honest and unapologetic, yet supportive and caring. FSA reinvigorated my passion and pushed me to align my career and practice around what is truly important to me. The liberation from agendas and associations creates a truly unique experience each year, providing each participant with agency and tools to create the experience desired.
